IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

BOTOX® (onabotulinumtoxinA) and BOTOX® Cosmetic may lead to dangerous, potentially life‑threatening reactions—promptly seek medical attention if any concerning symptoms appear anytime (hours to several weeks) after your injection:

  • Muscle-related issues: Botox may cause trouble with swallowing, speaking, or breathing due to muscle weakness near the injection area. These effects can be severe and, in some cases, life-threatening—especially for individuals with existing conditions. Swallowing difficulties may persist for several months.
  • Toxin spread risk: In rare cases, the effects of the botulinum toxin can spread to areas beyond the injection site, resulting in serious symptoms like full-body muscle weakness, drooping eyelids, blurred or double vision, changes in voice, slurred speech, breathing difficulties, trouble swallowing, and loss of bladder control.
